Step side bed

Is it possible to put an 80s f-150 step side/flare side bed on an 85-88 ranger? If not any way to find a bed that will? Not the later years rangers. Those beds look ugly on the boxed rangers lol.

No, not without some cutting off at the front of the bed

The rear axle placement is the issue, i.e. where the wheel wells are

Ranger 6ft bed frames have 39" from axle center line to back of cab, regular or extended cab, doesn't matter
Long bed Ranger were 43" but that's a different frame in the rear, axle sits farther back

Even the short bed flare side from F-series will be too long in the front to match Ranger rear wheels to F-series wheel wells
