Bed rail covers

I have the Bushwacker Diamond Back ones....They apply with 3M tape. Little suggestion...I've had those little rings that mount in the stake hole. And if you order the rails with the stake holes...the stake hole are TOO wide...left to right. I ended up getting the ones with out the holes, and used my Dremel reciprocating saw to cut the holes, and she's georgous. They also have tailgate caps, along with all smooth and ridges.

I have the EGR caps from jcw.com and should have gotten those styled ones, though the egr protect more they are rather plain.. also mine are starting to crack around the bedrails I installed after 3+ years of abuse..
I also would think the metal ones would wear away the paint and rust

sorry. havn't notice this thread pop up.
I'd suggest taking off the tailgate bedline thingy....taking a piece of flat bar.....take a nice sharp box cuter and making a scribe line. Maybe clamp on the piece of flat bar and take a router to it...or even one of those drywall dremel things that cut sideways. I don't know the name. Use the flat bar as a guide to where you want to cut.
That's what i'd do.
