As glad I am to see a step side changed I don't really like how it isn't even with the cab.

Bored with the way you Steppie LOOKS… can’t be man !?!
The Stepside Ranger is by far the best looking truck FORD has put out in years. I for one do not think the Style-sides looks really good on the Stepside Box; OK, different yes but it is between a steppie and a flat-side; can’t really put my finger on it but it is just different, I guess. Once it is painted with the two colors it will look different. As I alway add to my posts so I don’t get people pi$$ed, it is your truck, if you like it then it is the way it is. Thks for doing your part in the war effort. |
Prodding a sleeping thread: found this on a search to see about doing something similar. What I’m looking to do differently is to have the front of the bed even with the cab and have it taper back to stepside width; essentially like a fleetside from cab to wheelwell but narrowing aft of there, fabbing custom bed rail cap/filler panels to make up the difference. Does this seem feasible? Who makes the fleetside fenders? |
I made my ranger stepside with real fibreglass fender just cause I was on budget and had to figure something out a lot of people asking question cause they never seen one I rather be different but I have first Gen not model like yours |
I recently picked up a decent stepside bed for cheap. I’ll use it as-is to start, while keeping an eye out for an inexpensive pair of stock bedsides to modify for a somewhat similar effect, but with the addition of built-in tool storage compartments. All of the aftermarket bedsides I’ve seen have enlarged wheel openings, which I don’t want. This will be my first time doing more than minor repairs with fiberglass, so another set of sides will enable me to take my time without taking the truck out of service. |
Hey I actually was just thinking about doing the same thing to mine but I have a style side and want to put the step side box sides on to get more coverage and get that trophy truck look, anyone else seen or heard about anyone doing such a thing? |
