you'll have to cut up your nice powerdome hood to make it fit

Can’t it be cut down a little, maybe one cross bar ?

I like the look and I have only seen two or three and all here at RF.

I believe that grille started at least in 04, if not later, 06 most likey. Pretty sure you'd have to swap hoods and grille assemblies. Unless you want to hack into your own hood. Your grille doesn't have the top part of the grille surround, where the 04+ does.

stx grill is for 04 and newer trucks. now to make it fit in a 03 im guessing will take a lot of cuting and then I don't know how you would mount it. I doubt the mounting points that would be left after u cut the grill down would even match up. It would be totally custom if you could figure out a way to make it work though.

Thanks for the info and I will start looking and measuring.

Anyone with an STX Ranger that can measure the insert, just the part inside of the outer shell ?

i help!
not sure if these pics DO help... but here is what i have

the grill is held on by 4 bolts into the top of the header pannel, and 2 clips on the bottom, similar to clips you would find holding your door trim on... you can see this clips on the bottom picture

i'm fairly sure the top of the grill is close to level with the header pannel, which would be taller than your truck would allow... so i don't know if it would be a direct swap... but! my truck origionally had the h-bar grill, and this one was put on after my accident... it is off of an 05 stx (truck used as the repair vehicle, for the new parts) i have a friend with an 08 sport, 2wd, and his comes with the grill pictured above

another note, if you look at my grill, it is 2 colours, (to match my truck) but it's actually 2 different pieces, the grey is a seperate piece from the black

I was thinking of using just the insert, I like the bars.
With the power dome hood it should look even better.
Anyone got one for sale cheap.

Not sure if FORD will be the place but just thinking about it.
I haven’t seen any in the JY and can’t find one on the FORD Parts Sales On-Line so I am up in the air.
If I get a part number I can try the On_Line parts dealers.

Any chance to get a VIN as a reference from some one ?

and it will be very much one of a kind. I was sitting out in the garage last night looking at my truck and I think if you just cut off the top bar it would fit. Still matter of mounting it.

Ya the mounting is something too.
I haven’t measured yet, a lot of rain today, but as soon as I do I will see how it will fit; I am hoping for an Insert Swap.
I want the Pwr Dome Hood so if I can’t do it then so be it and I do like the 03 grille, it all has a nice look but as Lazier said, I want it a little different.

If I could find one for $50, that would be nice but I till need to measure.
