edog,
that is sweet, nice looking grille but it isn’t the STX as we both know.
It looks like the attaching part is not even close to the EDGE but I am hopping the STX is just an insert and does not have the outer rim.

I have never seen the STX grille out of a vehicle except for a pic on RF only showing art of it not the whole thing.
I guess I need to do more looking.

thanks,

No problem, just trying to help. Do you have any idea of which vehicle trim level it is supposed to fit. It most certainly does not fit my trick. I have the honeycomb grille of the FX4.

I appear to need the upper mounting rim, so my first guess is 05+.
The 03, maybe the 04, doesn’t have a top grille shell rim (the hood is the upper trim), the honeycomb grille has its own upper lip that is flat not standing up as that one is.
I am just guessing here.
Thanks again for the offer.

Do you have pics of the grille insert by itself ?

I haven’t found one of these grilles used yet, will continue the search but with all of the other projects on the list this one is moving down, until parts are found that is.

All I want to know about is the grille insert.
If you happen by and ask for a price, that would be good.
Thanks

I finally got a look at my first STX/Sport Grille up close.
Yes it looks great and it is what I would like to have installed in my 03 Grille Shell.
Yes it looks like it will take a little more work to get it to mount to the ’03 Grille Shell but I think it can be done.
If I can only find one in the JY it would make things a lot easier.
I could add my new horn while I was at it.

This is exactly what I have been wanting to do for awhile. I just never posted it cause I wanted to be the first to do it...The STX grilles are so hard to come by though. In my mind you wouldn't have to remove a bar, just the top lip of the STX insert. If you look at the pictures of STX grilles and envision where the powerdome lines up it would sit right on top of the topmost bar on the STX grille.

Would love to see pics when you get it in, cause they are my favorite grilles.

I still have other plans for my Honey comb grille in the mean time.

It will be a while, at least until I get the grille.
I too think it is a good looking grille, not teat the ’03 Honeycomb isn’t OK too but the bars look good.
I never measured the 03 opening but it does look like the STX Grille insert will fit.

Looking for a good used STX Grille, not easy.
