The part that my tailgate handle attaches to and is held to the tailgate with 2 nuts, has broke. The pivot point on one side just broke away. I'm sure it is corroded.
I did some searching for a replacement part, but all I keep finding is the handle itself or the part that holds the latch rods.
Can anyone tell me where to get this part?

get the metal handle from wayne at underdog performance. I love mine :) its cheap too

About $15-20 i believe, and it's a Ford OEM part.

The handle itself is not broke. The part it attaches to is. That part is bolted to the inside of the tailgate.

 

care to show us? pics are a must.


The handle is mounted to the linkage using two nuts/or studs. You described handle being broken...show us whats broken.

Take the cover off the inside of the tailgate and see whats goin' on inside.

Thanks for the pics Tim. The part I need is the part that is being held on by the 2 flanged nuts (in the back shot picture). Does that come with a new handle assembly ? Now that I took a closer look it appears to be part of the handle mounting?
