Thoughts on Replacement Headlight Assemblies?

Hey Folks,

The front headlights on my ranger ('02, V6, 3L ,160k) are yellowing/faded and while I know I could refinish them, I am tempted to just swap them out to give better visibility and a fresher look. Any thoughts on the Dorman replacement assemblies? They're selling pretty inexpensively on RockAuto and I've heard Dorman tends to make decent replacements of many parts, but I've also heard that non OEM headlight assemblies are not great in general. Worse comes down to it, I thought I might swap them out, refinish the old headlight assemblies without stress, and then swap them back if it isn't all that great.

What do you folks think? Any experience with the Dorman Headlight Assemblies?

I'd forgo with direct factory replacement and spring for LED assemblies. A bit more money, but you'll really appreciate the difference.

Any recommendations? Also, doesn't that involve rewiring some things?

You might need to add resistors to the turn signals.
