Gutter guard grille

Okay, so I tried installing a Trex grill and do to "misinformation" by the f-in' a$$ clown at their customizer shop, i screwed up my grille majorly. so i reordered a new grille and the RIGHT billet insert. I couldn't handle how my front end looked so I made a gutter guard grille.

I know the ford emblem is off-centerd and it looks a little screwy but my roommate and i were drunk so give us a little slack.......

Not bad. I am thinking about putting some of that behind my grill.

I'm not crazy about it, looks a little to afro-engineered for me. Time to order a new grill, maybe the STX grill or the '04 Billet?

Good attempt on it. Maybe paint the mesh a semi gloss black on and see if it looks any better. Oh and its always good to ask around on the forums too for opinions before doing a mod that your not too sure about. There are a lot of knowledgeable people and can most of the time provide insight to a project and maybe make it easier to do.

I've got a new grille on order... but since I leave for Iraq in less than a month I'm not going to try anything else crazy until I get back.

Made mine in about 10 minutes. It fills in the gaps pretty nicely.

Hahahaha yea I thought it turned out pretty good. I just don't understand why you would want to cut out the center of the grill and fill the whole thing with the gutter gurard mesh. It just doesn't look good. Just do a few inserts to fill in the gaps and BAM there ya go.

Thanks. I cut the mesh to size and used a hot glue gun to adhere the mesh. I took the grille off last week to see how the glue was holding up and not one loose spot. I've had this on now for about 6 months with a few offroad trips and it has held up so I defnintely recommend the hot glue.

I didn't wake up and just decide to cut my grille. i was told i had to cut into my grille to make the billet one fit. anyone with at least an 07-09 ranger will have to cut their grille.

im going to try it with mine, ive got the 4x4 grille that was only on 93-94 rangers, its ugly and i really wish i had the other style, im too cheap to buy a new one, so 'ill just see what i can find at menards/lowes and go with it. i may try and pop-rivit it, dont see how any glue is going to work, maybe fiberglass cloth and resin, but glue? heres a pic of my grille and a link from another site where they did one.
