Hey guy's I'm repainting my hitch, and thought maybe I since I have the paint I could paint the bumpers to match the rearview mirrors and step bar and the little step thats on the flare sides, the bumpers are grey now came stock that way, what i also want to know should I use automotive paint a clear on the front so it will last or what, any ideas will help thank's, oh by the way I took the bumper off to straighten out the brackets I bent them before I got my hitch. I'll have pics in a sec.

I'm in the process of doing that now, I decided to repaint the grey flares, valance, rear bumper and grill black before I repaint the silver metal parts of the front and rear bumper.
After tonight I will have only the rear bumper trim to paint black, then it's on to silver. I really like how it looks so far, it's not much different from before, but it just makes it look cleaner and newer. I'm using Krylon Fusion for all the plastic parts.

I ain't never seen a plate for taurus either, like you said there's all kinds for s&w, I know I asked the guy once about doing a plate with a pic of me next to my truck on it, he said that he would have to use automtive paint so it would last and it cost's around 80 for the paint clear and him doing it, that's kinda why I've been stalling.

Well, I do know the cleaner it is and the less mud their is on the frame will help alot, The dealer don't want to give you what it's worth any way but if your truck is in great shape mechanically and cosmeticaly the better, oh and I've had my truck appraised by a bank last year, and they said that all the mod's will help in raising the value, with just what I got so far the truck was appraised for $14,500 at 89,000 miles, sounds weird I know but they came out and inspected it and everything, I'm not saying the dealer will say that its worth that much, because the dealer wants to make money not spend it. LOL, If I were you I would have your truck appraised and get the papers from the appraiser that way hen you go to trade it you have proof of its worth.
