Change to 01-05 Bumper?

I recently bought an 08 ranger, its 2wd so im going to be lowering it. I love the thunderbolt facia that fits on the 01-05 style front end. Would it be possible to buy the brackets from say lmc and mount the old style of bumper, or has the front of the frame changed?

front of frame has not changed....i believe you'll need to pick up 01-05 bumper brackets, the 01-05 upper bumper, and of course the thunderbolt bumper cover.

Thanks shane. ^ i moved to a little coastal town where all the land is owned by someone and theres no place to wheel, id have to make an hour trek to get off the coast and inland to a proper spot to offroad. If i still lived in socal i would have never considered lowering the truck

Original poster...glad to help man. I'm unsure on how the bumper cover mounts to the bumper, but i'm sure it's pretty simple.

Pavement driving=Lowered.

Off Road driving=Lifted.

'Cause we all know stock isn't an option for most of us.

You do what your driving requires. If you're not gonna off-road, the lifting a truck just gives you a mall crawler. Even lowered, you still have a bed, and so it still beats a car. Plus, "you can't buy a Ranger car".

Who here drives a Honda Pilot? And I didnt really mean this as a thread jack, I just wanted to know why someone would lower a truck, didnt say he had to lift it but I just didnt understand the lowering part. Chill out people.
