fender work
i pulled the fender flares off a while ago, i didnt like them. but i now have the hole in the fenders and bed. just curious if anyone has fixd this and woneder how much i cost. i may end up getting different fenders and having them sprayed, im sure its probly less for that then paying for the work.
if there is any body work pro's out there i would love to hear the details of fixing this on my own too.

You grind the paint off the paint in the area. Then make filler pieces out of sheet metal. Then weld them with quick tacks. Grind it flat check for gaps, and touch up welding.
Body filler and sanding next. Then paint.
It will be easier to put glass on your truck if that's the look you want. Otherwise fenders and bed swap, and repainting those. Im not sure what will be cheaper.

For the amount of work required I would change the body parts. You will have to paint anyway. Over the years I have tried a few different methods to fill holes. I have had the best luck by tack welding small pieces of metal and them using lead to seal it up followed by body filler. You have to have a real good bond or as temperatures change the holes will reappear. I'm not sure how well it would work but you could try the body panel adhesive. Its expensive but they say it works real well.and holds up. I have never tried it. Here's an idea go to the hardware and pick up some button head rivets and just bolt them or snap them in...
