I probably will this Friday. I want to seperate the shell from the grille, but i dunno if its gonna be a pain. So sue me, im super super picky (to the point of being obsessive compulsive sometimes) and id rather not just mask it off. I guess i could just be really careful masking it, but darnit... the two pieces sit really flush so its a tight gap.

Once the grille surround and grille insert have been snapped together they are almost impossible to get apart. I tried to do it when I painted mine, but I would have broke the clips before I got it apart. So I had to carefully mask the grille off, it took forever.

id probably do it black. And it would probably look like this. I like it alot, but I would want to buy a spare valance to do it to. Why? Im not sure if its paintable plastic. None of the 07+ trucks have body color valances right?

i really like it alot though.

Would look AWESOME black!!

It's the same plastic as the flares and valences on older trucks. I've been told they don't really take too well to sanding as they just fuz up. My buddy who did my other buddys flares and valence did multiple layers of high build primer, then sanded that smooth and shot the color.

Oh yeah....yea, no 06+ comes with smooth and painted valences(except STX's). I recall a member here whos '06-07 truck used to be yellow but is now all smooth black, including the valence. His sig says "real men drive yellow trucks" which is funny because his truck is all black now. lol. I'll see if I can find his profile or thread or something.

I say dooooo it! If you find a perfect '06-07 valence with perfect fog lights and brackets, I know where there's an '08 owner that'll trade just up the I5 corridor.

that looks so sick but you need to finish it off with the color matched grill surround.

I like the first one better. The one with the blue spike in the middle has almost too much color going on with the blue, the grey and the black all punctured right in the middle by more blue.

I mean on the hood you see blue/grey/blue and black/grey/blue. In the first pic its just blue/grey and black/blue.

I like it though. it works.

don't know how well this pic is going to work, because the truck is so dirty...
