This is why I have full coverage...
Hello everyone. I rarely post here because, well, I rarely have anything go wrong with my truck. That's the good news.
Here's the bad. So I got home from work today (I was driving my Saturn SC2) and I see this:
Evidently, some idiot in a white vehicle (don't know make or model) decided the passenger side of my truck needed some paint. Ain't life grand? Luckily, the guy actually fessed up and I have all his info.
From what the insurance co. is saying, it looks like I'm getting a free paint job.

Man...let me tell you though, if sprayed right...this color looks amazing when the sun hits it. Buddy of mine did a similar job to what yours needs done to it to almost the same exact truck, same color (code LL deep wedgewood blue). Turned out amazing. Makes me reconsider my thoughts of respraying the truck a different color down the road.
*Your welcome Tyler. LOL! Nice avatar! hahah.

OMG.... this many replies in less than 2 hours! I'm stoked!
Well, yes there is a Ford dealership not even 5 miles from my house so it'll be taken there for repair. An adjuster is supposed to contact me within 2 business days and see what's what.
And... @ Fx4wannabe01.... Deep Wedgewood Blue is indeed a pretty color, however, if I could have the dealer paint it any color I wanted, I'd choose gloss black.
It's a good thing I have two other cars because God only knows how long it will take for this to get fixed.

If you've never owned a black vehicle, I suggest keeping it that way. If you just look at it wrong the paint will swirl mark and look like crap. Seriously I had the SS hood on my Camaro painted black and if something brushed against the paint, it was swirl mark city. Out came the wax and buffer to get it looking decent again. I love my DSG, I do so much stupid crap around the truck and you can't see a scratch on in it.

AHAHAHAAH!!!!!! I love your avatar, rangerboy101!!
Well, aside from that, I would hardly call it wrecked. I have a $1000 deductible but the other persons ins. co. is going to pay out . My only ordeal is losing my truck for however many days, while it's being repaired.

On the contrary. Read a few posts up. The guy who did this filed a police report and fessed up. His ins. co. is going to totally foot the bill, as is proper.
This is awesome, but I'd still like to have my truck painted gloss black. Deep Wedgewood Blue looks too much like purple when the sun hits it.

Indeed. I have to fess up to one myself, though.
About 3 or 4 years back, before I even owned a truck, I had this rinky dink little 4 door Saturn. It had dual power mirrors. One day, I was on a 2-way street, with cars parked on both sides. Some old as hell nut comes barreling down the oncoming lane in a HUMONGOUS Buick. I was forced to swerve right. I sideswiped someones SUV and took my mirror off in the process. Luckily, the wires held the mirror on (albeit dangling on the side of the car). I never reported it.
