What Glue to use on Ford Emblem?

Im in the process of doing the ford oval emblem color change and I'm wondering what I should use to glue the plastic piece back into the chrome oval. Theres a how-to that says to use 3M emblem adhesive but I cant find any around. I had some Plastic Welder laying around that I used on a test piece, and just as I expected it ate the paint.(Krylon Fusion). Anyone have any ideas on what I could use thats not going to eat away my paint?
Thanks

I think he is talking about putting the plastic cover back on top of the emblem holder thing and if you use the tape it will stick out to far and you also dont want the liquid oozing out all over the place so just enough to hold it on

the clear plastic oval with the paint on the back, to what ever it goes on?

just a few dabs of that epoxy would TOTALLY hold it! i use it to hold an allan key into the ignition of my old truck, and a little dab on the side of my rocker switches to a piece of chrome on my bike

the tape is quite easy to use, and it is SOLID!! 2 6" strips hold my cb onto my console, and i CANNOT get it off...

i'm not sure if the epoxy would eat the paint or not though...

Correct. I'm talking about re-attaching the piece with the ford logo that I sanded down and painted back into the chrome shell that attatches to the truck. I was thinking maybe a little bit of silicon would work?

i wouldn't trust silicone... try the 2 items i posted above, both are cheap and easy to come by... i am fairly certain that the epoxy won't eat the paint, i dropped some on my CB (painted case) and it didn't eat the paint... wouldn't be able to get the drop off even if you paid me!

When I used to make and sell these, I found this stuff at home depot to work well. Stayed felxible in cold temps, never ate the paint/plastic, and sealed the whole deal well. Use sparingly though...
