What happened to my tailgate?

I might be wrong, but I think Zach (littlered) had something to do with this.

There is all kind of blue stuff on my tailgate. C'mon man.

Here is what it looked like before this happened.

Did this happen without your knowledge?

I might have to work on it at night, so I installed a light.

I really hope that isn't going to be your new license plate light because that thing is ugly! And will make the whole rear end of your truck look like shizz.

Ok, one more picture before the final product.

Well, story goes...
My tailgate had some imperfections that annoyed me. There was a spot on the bottom that something rubbed almost to the metal. There is still two identical dents that happened when my cables snapped when I sat on it. Also a few scratches here and there where I prepped and bedlined it.

I decided to leave my license plate off of the bumper that I am building......aaaaaannnd now its on my tailgate hahaha.

Edit: To add, if the tailgate didnt have any problems or imperfections, then I probably would NOT have done this.

Yes you did. Im excited to see what it will look like.

The light was one of the best that Ive seen. Its an led light that is pretty stinkin bright. Some nightshade is in order lol. If I ever find another one that I like, then I will try it out.

so are you getting some kind of surround for the plate? I'd think just bolting it to the tailgate would look kinda bad.
