A BL is a pain in the *** to get working with a manual case, but it can be done. I made an extension for mine, but I know your shifter setup is different than my newer case so I can't help you about actually making the extension. I imagine some trial and error is in store for you.

Sorry no pics of it. Its just a piece of flat steel about 1" x 3" with four holes drilled in it and a gusset along one side. Very easy to make, but I know the older linkages used a totally different design for mounting the shifter than the newer cases used.

Edit: here's the best pics I could find. They still don't really show the extension very well.

Here's the best I can find from underneath. The extension wasn't exactly what I was trying to capture back when I took this so you can just barely see the bottom of it bolted to the lever at the top of the picture. when I get off work tonight I might be able to sqeeze my camera up there for a better pic.

I didn't lose any when I lifted, but I didn't change tire size either.

Here's a couple shots of the bottom of the extension. These are as good as its gonna get without pulling the extension out, and to do that I'd have to remove my carpet and the inner boots so I don't see that happening in the near future lol.

If you look closely you can see the gusset welded to the frontal part of the extension. I had to put it there because the 3/16" steel alone would bend while moving the lever into 4LO. The gusset runs from the bottom of the extension up to the bottom of the fx4 shifter, not quite to the top of the extension. It took quite a bit of trial and error to come up with something that wouldn't bend and would fit at the same time.
