whole car spray painted. safe removal?
might be buying a car. it was spray painted with no prep work, so its now starting to chip off. is it possible to remove the paint with out damaging the auto paint underneath. or what can i do to prep it for paint work so i can save money on labor

Why would you spend money on a car like that? If it was spray painted, it might be hiding something. Just wondering...

indeed , chance's are it has had body work done in the past and some night after getting drunk they just decided it was a good idea to spray can the car with no prep work , granted it could be just because that's what they had , but i'd take a close look at the car before buying it , as for removing the paint ..... as far i know of you can use a paint stripper , or sand it off , either way you probably won't beable to save the old paint and have it look decent , just my 2 cents

i saw on here that acetone will take unprepped spray paint off without damaging the paint under it
