I cannot find Ford ones in the junkyards around here or they want $70-$90 for a single damn used taillight.
How well do the $45 a pair fit that is flooding ebay and such? reading some amazon reviews say they fit like crap - others say perfect... They are going in my 01 so they should fit right up.

 

They may not be as cheap as eBay, but I have bought tail lights from TYC for my B3000 and they were OK _ made China.
The plastic housing where the bulb socket mounts into the back of the light was a bit thick, so it was a bit difficult to get in _ I had to use a bit of grease meant for plastic.

They did line up when fitting onto the box, but just barely.

If you go with eBay, as always, make sure the guy has 100% rating and has returns.
No matter what though, even if the lights don't fit, one can end up paying the shipping back no matter what.

I put a cheapo eBay set on mine years ago and they fit just fine

 

The ones I have on my truck scrape against the body of the truck, with no way to adjust their position to prevent it. No big deal on my beat up truck, but may matter to somebody else with perfect paint.
