i have been pondering on getting hid's for my truck head & fog to replace my sylvania silverstars my 1 fog just blew out, but what kit? & what watt 35 or 55, & what bulb color i want the brightest ones as in to be able to see the best @ night in any condition, rain,snow,fog,dry etc.....

 

any help guys?

 

well when i did my research on this a while back . 35w was the way to go. I was gonna get 5k for the headlight because it was the brightest white light and 3k for the fogs to have that yellow light that works well in rain and fog. I never pulled the trigger on it though. Maybe somebody with the kit will chime in.

and with that said, and the increase of negative posts about DDM, anyone know of another good place to buy quality HIDs from? ebay included....

 

all my kits have came from ddm, yea it takes a bit to get them sometimes and thats because people buy them up like candy and every shipment they get has to go through customs. the kit i got from them has been in my ranger for over a year with no problems what so ever so its worth it to me. most other kitsare junk but id go with 5k 35w

 

thats what i ordered the 35w slim ballast 5000k hi/low 9007 for my heads & 35w slim ballast 5000k h10 for my fogs about 2 weeks ago

 

i bought a set of 55w 10k from DDM and they work great they are bright and easy to install you dont have to take you head light out either

 

I just ordered a kit from them about 30 mins ago. I hope there not out of stock like yall mentioned :( but anyways I got 35w @ 7000K because I wanted the blue tint to them and thats still the brightest light. Will wait and see if they come in I guess. Will post back later.

 

You could always call them. Lucky for me they are only 30 minutes away, I can go bang on their door if they screw mine up, haha. Local pick-up FTW.
