alum plate cut to fit inside the inner lid, drill holes in plate. Epoxy plastic weld it to the inside of the inner lid, holes allow epoxy weld to come threw it, let dry. reassemble.

i put a BL bed support under mine at the front its the perfect height and it allows you not to over compress the arm rest. then it wont break on your again.

not in my neck of the woods, welcome to BFE,but was thinking a piece of 3/4 starboard would work just as well

starboard is a dence plastic composite used on boats i just need a small piece not a 54x48 sheet like i sell lol but in all just as good as steel depending on the application

So does the dealer sell a replacement? Mine broke as well, almost in the exact same place as the one in the picture.

I believe it would be the body lift bed supports found in body lift kits that people usually don't install.

On your thread over at RPS....Someone tipped me on a rebuild/reinforcement kit available on RockAuto.com.

Just something for you to check into. Let me know if more info is needed as i can get the part number for you.

Here's a view of the product catalog:

And the pic post of the actual product.

hope this helps. To me its worth the money.

To me....$40 is totally worth it!! It's worth it to anyone who has this centerconsole with the vinyl top. It's on the Christmas list for sure!! I miss having an ALL BLACK armrest and now miss having an armrest at all!

I assume what I found on RockAuto's catalog is correct, but I'm waiting for response on if it is infact the correct product.

I had bought one of those on eBay, but could never figure out how it went, it was almost like it was backwards in an area if that makes since.

Screw experimenting with glass like I was gonna do, I'm getting me that! And it'll let me fix my un-square mounted AA maglite mount!
