At LAST!! My 33" Duratracs + some HID shots

Well at last after a 5 week wait my tires came! 305/70/16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.

Missed the last week of snow storms we've been having but more will come. And I will be up north in cottage country where annual snow accumulation is close to 20ft every year so I should get some fun testing done up there. So far I think they look great, maybe even a little bulkier looking than my Mickey Thompsons looked.

As far as performance They seem to work really well, even in 2wd when I give it a lot of gas it seems very difficult to get my truck to skid much, and on slopes where I would have gone sliding with brakes locked all the way down with the Mickeys, I can't even get the ABS to trigger even when I'm braking heavily to try to force it to engage. anyways, enough of this, on with the photos.

First, a comparo pic or 2 from last winter when I still had the Mickey Thompson MTZ on.

Yeah.. heck, when I ordered mine I got a big savings on it and they were still ~280ish per tire.. definitely hurts, especially considering ive got a full size spare with matching wheel as well..

5x $110 Wheels
5x $280 Tires
..... yeah, expensive :-(

ya I referred my buddy to the place I got it done and they gave him a good deal because he came in through me. Got the duratracs in I think a 235/75/15... 5 tires mounted, balanced, installed.... 950. :( I need a daily driver smart car so my truck can stay the way it is for a decade or 2

I like the looks of the MTZs more but those duratracs definitely ain't bad. I'm sure they put the mud tires to shame in the snow.

For sure, the MTZ is a really nice looking mud terrain tire, and if it had the on road manners, longevity, and wet/snow/ice capabilities the duratracs apparently have, I would have kept the MTZ.. they just burn out fast, and are useless in the winter weather, which my truck sees a lot more of than it does snow... Someday I'll try to get some shots with the tread clear of snow, preferably dry rubber, cause I do love the way these things look, and everyone whose seen my truck in person since Ive had them on has wondered if they're bigger and if I have any rubbing issues now haha... they're fat bastards

Jesus christ those stick out really far... You should look into some bushwacker flares or put ur old ones back on lol Looks kind of awkward, either that or double lift it!! That stance would be siccck if you bodylifted that thing bro. Just looks a little too low and wide at the moment, ya know? But if its what you like then by all means keep it!

Love your truck man, saw you way back when on RPS and seeing you lift your truck was what made me want to lift mine as well. Those Duratracs are sick, i ran them for a little while till i found out 2 of the tires were misshaped then just said **** it and returned them for the ones i got now. Loved em for the time i had them though, their really sticky and grip rlly well liek you said.

Lookin good

Man I freaking love the stance! I bet it throws a heck ton of crap on the side of the truck but it sure does look sick! I love the yellow fogs as well.

Looks awesome!

What year is your Ranger? What grill is that? I have a 07 XL with a 08 Sport painted grill on it, well something got kicked up from under a van the other day and hit my grill and cracked it in half. I really like the way yours looks. Kinda looks like the Saleen S331 grill!

i think the stock fenders would really set off your truck. those holes that got left behind makes it an eye sore... otherwise
