1989 ranger body on a 1978 bronco frame and drivetrain

I did this project a long time ago when I was a young pup. only 18 years old. I cut the short box down a little cuz the big bronco was still a little shorter wheelbase than the short box ranger, about 6 inches. 4 inch rancho suspension lift. 351m big block. big old cast iron tranny and transfercase. she barely fit. I had to mount the body pretty high so that the valve cover would be under the heater core box. got to have heat in upstate new York. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the pics up. and it had 36x15x15 dick cepek fun country tires on 10 inch wide chrome wheels.

yeah that would be sweet. Its a 4x4 long travel kit on the front made by Dixon bros. off road and the rear is a Giant Motorsports long travel 64" leaf kit. At the moment the truck is fully torn down for rebuild of the motor and chassis.

I forgot to put in the thread that i also had to shorten the box. The bronco was shorter and rather than try to lengthen the frame and have to make a driveshaft i cut a section out of the box in front of the wheels and welded it back together. I think it was 6 inches i had to shorten it. Maybe it was 8. It was so long ago.
