Another great "tool", Norton Rapid Strip
Found these from a member on another board. They are great for taking paint off, as well as light rust and dirt. I found they work best when you use a wire wheel real quick to get anything loose and the larger stuff off then go over and finish with one of these. Im cleaning my frame since I have the body off. They have a standard 5/8" arbor. So they fit on just about every 4.5" grinder.

Ill get some pictures of them in action tomorrow.

I'm using the same thing on my trailer for taking it down to bare metal for re-painting

where did you find that at? looks like it would work well in several situations. I just bought a few wire wheels for taking off the powder coat on my cragers. These may have worked better.

I grabbed a comparison picture between just a wire wheel and wire wheel then rapid strip. The left side is just a wire wheel. The right side is the same amount of time with a wire wheel then about a minute of using the rapid strip disk. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...0/DSC_0305.jpg |
We have a bunch of different ones at work. They are great for giving a nice clean appearance.

Im impressed. Now when you paint it, dont cheat yourself, get the best primer/paint you can afford.

Por15 all the way!!! Do it right, and you wont have to worry about it - after you por15, let it set for a few days - clean it with a powerwasher, wait till dry, and undercoat it with some of the nappa rubberized spray - keeps that salt away!
