PAshooters Bumper Build

So I finally got around to building my bumper because my original was bent from a deer hit and was rusting through.

I modeled it off of wolfman00's old bumper that is now mothman999's.

Its made from a skeleton of 1 inch square tubing thats 1/8" thick.
Here's pictures while we were still getting the skeleton built.

It was all done with a Lincoln Electric Eagle 10,000. I am lucky enough to have a pap whos a gas line welder, so his beads are very nice.

We have it mostly covered now with 10 gauge steel and after that I plan on bondoing it to make all the imperfections go out of it and then hurculining it.

Looking forward to the finished pics! Good idea using the 1x1's for the frame of it... I never thought of that. I guess it would make it possible to use a thinner plate on top if it's reinforced well in behind like that.

Do you plan on putting a winch up there?

It is a little big, but i may put a winch in it. I think once I put my 3 hellas back on and add the light hoop itll look slightly smaller

I think if you trimmed about 3 inches off it, it would look perfect. Just sticks out a little too far for my liking.

It is a little farther than I planned on, but it was a design as you build type of deal. Ill probably rebuild it eventually and fix the dimensions a little.
