My welding projects
One of the classes I'm taking this semester is Welding Fabrication and we get to make whatever we want. These are the two projects I have completed so far.
The first is a mobile welding table with a cast-iron grate that is fully adjustable.
The arm has a clamp on it to hold just about anything in any position.
The second is an Oxy-Propane torch cart.

This semester I'm taking Welding Fabrication, TIG welding, Welding Processes, and Advanced Electronics at Ivy Tech. I actually was an automotive student, but I got my associates degree last semester so now I'm just taking more welding classes to stay full time.

I learned to weld in my sculpture class this semester, and actually just did a ton of welding for a sculpture project for my architecture studio. Its a lot of fun, and makes me want a welder of my own. So many fun projects to do.
Thos look great. The bends and symmetry of that cart, and the ability to had wheels and stuff are tricky things, and look great.

Are you comparing it to Acetylene? Just curious on why you think oxy-propane cuts thicker metal? Acetylene flame is Approx 5589F and propane is Approx 4579F. Acetylene burns the hotter than all the other oxyfuels that why it's used the most.

Acetylene burns hotter which makes it better for welding, Propane puts out more BTU's which allows it to heat ticker metal faster, makes it better for cutting.
