ROCK SLIDERS!

Alright guys. just finished my plate bumper. it could use some thicker metal but itll wait. I wanna get some rock sliders built here soon.

I need some opinions. Im debating on tube ones like this

or some rectangular ones like this

Im not sure since my front bumper isnt tube on hopw the tube would look.

heres a side shot to look at.

I like the tube style regardless of the bumpers design lol. TG ones are fairly cheap and since you can weld in shop, it'll be cake.

tube for sure. look far better for sliders.

i think tube bumpers look better to, but to each their own.

Ive made both styles and even a style that uses both designs. I like them both honestly.

Yeah i'm with Zack. i kinda like the square tube for the slider and then round tube for the bars that come of it/go around it for more protection.

I vote for the rectangular tube, stretched between tire to tire opening.

Mount them on 2x2 receiver tubing you can slide them in and out as required.

Somewhere down the road I will be doing the rect tube type.

I have rocky road super sliders and have been super happy with them.

The app won't let me load pics but check my build thread there are lots of pics of them.

Another added benefit of sliders is parking lot protection, I watched a guy fling his door open so hard into the side of my truck it bent a half moon into the door and his door would not close.

I walked up got in my truck and said serves u right have a nice day and left.

Both styles would look good and be functional. So may be it would depend on the thickness because sometimes it looks overkill if the tubing is too thick.

X2 on too big.

2x4, rectangular tubing w/1/4 wall, not too big and HD.
