Custom Fabricated Front Skid Plate
I have a '94 4X4 Ranger. And I plan on fabricating myself a front skid plate surrounded by tubing. Basically a pre-runner style skid plate even though my truck is 4x4. If anyone has any comments, advice, pictures, links etc. Please I am begging you text me @ (209)597-2190. My e-mail is MikeMaciejewski93@gmail.com
I live in the east bay of California. About an hour east of San Francisco. If anyone locally knows of shops let me know. I currently have two sheets if 1/4 thick aluminum. So all I need is tubing! Thanks
This is what i want to do. Except without paying 800$ for it!

that was the position i was in when i built it.
you will need about 25 feet of 1 3/4 either hot rolled electric welded (HREW), cold rolled electric welded (CREW), or drawn over mandrel (DOM).
its hard to say how much because steel prices have been up and down since then.

^^^ yes. use the DOM tubing for the main horizontal tub and use either the CREW or HERW for the rest of the bumper structure.
build your mounts first. use some card board or construction paper to make templates. for metal i would use 1/4" flat stock (you can decide on the width).
use your local steel suppliers.
my truck is a 98
in the pic below red for DOM and green for HERW or CREW. dont mind the dogs ***.
