glasses

not really the right place to post this, but it kinda is... i am buying some glasses off ebay in a day or 1, but the thing is, the side sheild is all busted to crap (old school welding/safety goggles) so i'm thinking i can just replace the shaild with some sheet metal, which will give it a solid side, which is what i want, but how do i make sure the edges aren't sharp and don't cut up my face? here is a pic of what i am talking about

Do the sheet metal idea and find washer fluid hose and cut it and glue it on the edges. When done right it gives a nice clean professional look to the edges

hell yeah, i was thinking increasing grid sandpaper, then some brush on electrical tape, but i like the washer fluid line idea...

oh, btw, they are going to be painted black also, and the lenses, are going to be tinted dark

Can I ask a question, these can’t cost that much new, why buy used off of eBay ?
