The spare tire carrier is a structual point and shouldn't be removed.

i looked and figured it was, so my option is either remove it an put a cross member in, or just cut a section out for the bumper to fit properly, probably going to end up doing that though.

lazler, no photoshop this morning, got home at 7:54 am so bed time for me!
maybe sometime this weekend i'll mess around with it.

can't wait to get up! 7 hours til the work begins.

ive seen a few people with this bumper, all a little different though, i can't remember if i've seen one with the receiver actually built into the bumper, maybe one out of the lot. regardless, it'll be nice :D

rangerboy101 Jun 19, 2009 07:41 AM

Downey Jun 19, 2009 09:40 AM

what size tubing and specs and all that

ShadowRanger08 Jun 19, 2009 03:55 PM

the tubing is 2"x2"x1/4". the quarter inch wall is probably a bit overkill, but oh well, its gonig to be used for winching and crap when i get one so i wanted to make sure it was strong. what other specs did you want?

ShadowRanger08 Jun 19, 2009 03:56 PM

NICE! that looks sweet

ShadowRanger08 Jun 20, 2009 02:06 AM

i was looking at it, mudranger96 has it, but you lose use of your bed completely. so i'm not down for that. i still want to be able to use my bed, and throw a matress in it to camp or go to the drive in or something. im buying or making a tire gate.
clicky
i love them, they have different styles (horizontal mount, verticle mount, prerunner style which is what i want) they're cool.
they are about a grand to buy, but i can probably have one made for a third of that.

howells Jun 20, 2009 07:05 AM

i would do one like a jeep style and keep the factory gate on.

ShadowRanger08 Jun 20, 2009 10:32 AM

they have that too, but i dont really like it. i prefer this style
