Do you just weld that on over the existing gate or do you remove that section and tack the new one in? either way I think you would have to be handy with body filler to make a natural transition to that skin. Would you paint it yourself or take it somewhere?

I can do bodywork i just hate it. thats what im trying to figure out if you weld it or what. I remember HighRollerII shaved his and added LED's.. now that they have such good panel adhesive i can skip the welding.

Here's what a full skin looks like, it get's rid of your bumper and tailgate. Note he also shaved his taillights

I like it, although I can see where it would be a pain.

wow, i always thought that they just welded the tailgate shut. i never knew they made a skin that was just a sheet of metal and hollow. those s-10s with the caddy lights look sweet. to bad for never had cool taillights like that. i was thinking aboutthis the other day. what tails has a ranger owner swapped in for a different look. i'm talking custom , weld/filler/one off tails.

Dont do the full skin. Even though those s10's, rangers, toyato's etc look really good they WILL crack out unless they are strictly loaded up easily n never drove. Eventually it will crack out n look like ****. Even the best quality jobs that are done, it still eventually will if its drove on the road alot I can promise you that. They look great, but if its your DD, id spend the time n money on something else. Just my 2 cents.
