Icon3 Custom Grill guard or Bull Bar designs? HIT ME!

Ok y'all, im wantin to build myself a bull bar or grill guard for my 2001 ranger XLT 2x4. I've got access to all kinds of metal work toys (eg. welders, grinders, pipe benders, etc)...I looked into buying one a while back, but then i thought about it and decided WHAT FUN IS THAT??? ill probably kick off this project as soon as the semester lets out which will give me the time to figure out a design I like....soooo, what I need from y'all is Ideas and designs....I WILL be mounting some fog lamps on this so it will need a space for those, so if y'all have any blueprints, or designs, or pics of grill guards and stuff y'all have made, post em up! i promise I dont wanna steal anyone's designs, I want my grill guard to be one of a kind, I just need the ideas!

Those are pretty sweet, my buddy has one on his Chevy, I'm not sure if I wanna do a full bumper replacement tho, I'm thinkin somethin a little more lean....I'll probably end up mounting fishing rod holders on it too

yeah, thats understandable. ironbull has some really heavy bumpers, and i wouldn't suggest one as a long term solution on a truck with torsion bars(eventually you'd have a saggy front end)... but as far as different bar ideas, they have a ton of different pictures of different designs, that way when you're building you have at least a picture of something that you can go off

You have got to keep us updated on this as we love to see custom stuff! I do believe your pickup should have coil springs so I wouldn't worry too much about weight. I have a full brush guard and it weighs about 50 lbs max so you should be golden.

Please post pics of finished project or better yet, show lots of pics as you go! I am thinking about going to my local community college and learning how to weld so I can do cool stuff also. Good luck!
