Where can I get a prerunner bumper?

Last night a lady in a minivan decided she disliked my truck almost as much as her van and pulled out in front of me. Along with lights, grill, fender, and hood work I need a bumper. Been looking for a prerunner bumper. I saw the Dixon Bros one but not sure that I like how far it sticks out from the font of the truck, little too bulky. I want a nice clean look that tucks up right under the grill, with a skidplate but not the extra hoop on top. Ive got pics on my computer but it seems I am not able to upload them to this forum?

If you know somebody that can weld, you'd be better off buying the materials and giving them $50 to do it. Most tube bumpers like that are expensive and even more expensive to ship.

the dixon brothers bumper is about the only bolt on bumper for our trucks. You can try over at Dezertrangers.com for a used bumper that someone else made or look into having one made. A simple tube bumper shouldnt cost that much to have made.

Check with the guys who race at your local circle track, they use the same skills to make roll cages. I would guess most of them would love to pick up a few extra bucks on the side.

local fab shop or find some guys with a race truck that they built. I know there isn't much desert racing in MN but out here there are plenty of race teams. The Dixon is a good deal for the price. I paid $300 for mine

The dixon bros one lists at $550 unfinished, and unshipped.

i didnt like how far the DBR bumper sat out from the front either. mine is much closer to the bottom of the grille. you can cut the top hoop off very easily if you dont like it.

Yamanube, I am from Woodbury and I have heard great things about Burnsville Offroad for custom bumpers. They do mainly focus on Jeep Wranglers but they said that they work on trucks as well. I am going there next saturday for a quote on suspension lift and new tires/wheels. And maybe a custom bumper with winch mount.

Thanks for the info, I have been watching this thread but haven't made any moves on getting a new bumper because my cash has been going to other (more important projects/toys) the Ranger will stay stock this year unless I can find somebody to build me a bumper that works for dirt cheap or for beer.
