check this site out for info on rpcasters m90 kit.

http://www.rangerpowersports.com/forum/

or go the explorer express website to check out their kit.

http://www.explorerexpress.com/

that should get you started.

these are only for the SOHC motors, if you have an OHV engine you will have to do some fab work as there aren't any available kits that I know of right now.

Wheatman is running the Thomas Knight kit. Not sure how much power he is pushing though.

But to the OP, if you are going to go through all the trouble of swapping to a SOHC and the slapping on some forced induction, why not get a 5.0? And then slap a charger on there.

Emissions and some people don't want a V8.

thought about it but i like the 4.0s better then the 5.0 i had a 93 ranger last yr with a 351 in it bad *** truck but kept breakin axles affraid the same thing would happen if i put a 5.0 in this truck plus i want to kow just how much power i can really get out of a 4.0

He's a 94, finding an exploder 5.0 that is from a newer truck shouldn't be a problem, but like you said, some people don't want a v8 (if you want power, I have no idea why).

I applaud you on even making a ranger with a 351 last lol. I know I wouldn't (I have an addiction to the skinny pedal, just ask my tires). Look at this swap:
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=44326

He also used a S/C

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=71722

His axel is holding up, mind you he doesn't really abuse his stuff. He has an 8.8 31 spline axel in it, and it is holding up.

Lets just say, if I had your truck, I would swap a 5.0 in, just because it is easier in that generation, and you have way way more potential.

4.0 would be cool just for the fact that not a whole lot of people have done it.

how were you helpin me to begin with i dont care about a 5.0 if i did i have one on the garage floor i could put in the truck but i want to go with the 4.0 illl swap out the engine with wiring harness and computers super charge it and nething else i can do to get as much power as i can out of the 4.0 so how did you help me by having me look at pix of a 5.0 in an explorer a 5.0 is not a 4.0 theres a big difference there

I see it as everyone wants a 5.0. Why not be different? I see a blown 2.3 in another thread. That is cool.
