Nissan superchargers?

So, I can pick up a used Frontier or Xterra supercharger for cheap. It's the stock blower for the 3.3L Nissans...my question is...will it fit? And I have access to tuning, will it work?

it is the eaton m62 just like from the EE supercharger kit, I remember seeing the nissan ones and thinking it will fit without many mods, but the intake on it is on the driverside, right? I remember looking at other stock superchargers like the one from the 03-04 Cobra mustangs and even the ford lightnings. The cobra m112 has the intake on the passenger side like the 4.0 sohc v6s so it would be easier to adapt than the nissan one. The main problem is building an intake manifold that will allow you to bolt on a supercharger and have it clear the hood, usually the clearance issue is the pulley not clearing the hood. Anything will work, its just adapting it to what ever engine you have and doing the proper fuel and timing adjustments so you dont melt it.

Ya, on a nissan or at least my old frontier, the intake was on the driverside.

Could it be done? Sure. Would it be easier/cheaper than buying an explorer express kit? If you had alot of time and really good fabrication skills... possibly. It would certainly be quite a project though.

I'm dying for a s/c, but I'mn never gonna pay $4,000 for 75 hp. I'm hoping someone else will come out with a kit cheaper than EE.
