Explorer Express

There ya go! 4395 is a good price. However they only do about 70RWHP/TQ now that is fine, however I spent 4750 on my whipple for my F150 that put out another 165RWHP/200RWTQ.

Just sayin, think wisely because as far as superchargers go, its a small one, being .62 and the boost level although quite big, isnt amazing.

I was heavily debating one for my 04, but in the end I couldnt spend 4 grand on 70horse to the wheel.

That is a much better route in my opinion! Bigger blower = less heat because it isnt working as hard to make the power. Cheaper too!

Still I wouldnt push more then around 6psi either way, no heat exchanger on a roots will get hot. I would go 90 though! Less strain!

Just to give you an idea, my Cobalt SS Supercharged had a .62L supercharger on it, a little 2.0 4 banger, and it was even small for that motor. My whipple is 2.3L. Just to give you a reference.

Thats all the reasons I chose that kit but my engine have 106000 miles on it. I don't think it would like air rammed down its throat.

I have the caster kit and it works perfect. Moderate install at 7-8 hrs. Just make sure whatever blower you get get's rebuilt before you put it on. It's much easier to sprnd a little over 100$ to get new coupler, snout bearings, needle bearings, s/c oil and a few other misc. IMO. And for half the money of the EE kit you still get 65 hp.(according to ron). I'm going to dyno in a couple of weeks, so i'll be able to post my gains as well.
Good luck! Oh yeah I have 101,xxx miles also...
