Hey Neal, I've not been online much lately. Sorry about the late posting. Yep I'm the same guy. Still have the Lightning too. See my sig..

I've made a dry shot setup and have tuned the PCM myself with SCT Pro Racer. I ramp the shot from 10-ish hp up to 60 (this yr it'll be 75hp) I'm holding a nice fat 12.5 a/f up through 2nd, 3rd, & 4th too. The stock fuel system with a new fuel filter seems to hold up just fine.

btw, the 4.0L is a short stroke motor. Be careful at lower rpms if your using a fixed 50 shot.
I ramp from approx 2500rpms (10hp) up to full shot over 3 seconds which is providing 80% flow at approx the 4000rpm area. (below 20% and above 80% are not accurate)

I was too until I spent some time understanding why people pop thier engines.

A fixed hit kit is a killer. And so is initial lean out.

Slowly ramp the nitrous and make sure the fuel is getting to the cylinders first and the motor will live a long and happy life.
Shoot.. I dropped 1.3 seconds in the 1/4 on only a 60hp shot ramped for 3 seconds. Truck now has 49k miles and is as happy as a clam.

It's all in understanding how nitrous increases power.. and then accuritely controlling it.

Yeah right.

I have some rules of thumb for a stock motor. 35% power increase (from stock) is good for a long time if it's in good working order.
A 50% power increase and everything had better be in perfect balance or else it won't live long. More than that and your over the limit.

So.. if you have a stock 207hp engine and are pushing 40hp more than stock.. it will only take another 60-ish hp worth of power adder.

Now.. considering your statement of throwing it on. I assume thats a fixed hit kit. If that's the case you'd be lucky to get it down the 1/4 once on a otherwise stock motor.

HI!... The timeslip I posted was N/A. That's an old slip now. I have since ran a best of 14.42E.T with a 9.2 1/8th in N/A trim and a 13.83E.T with a 8.8 1/8th on a 40H.P dry shot. Will be stepping up to a 75H.P shot and a re-tune by Mike Troyer before spring along with a Fuddle 3500 stall converter. Hoping for low 13's.
