4.o sohc sts turbo
Does anyone have any info of a 4.0sohc with a sts turbo kit? I might be sellin the car so the truck will become the fun ride again lol..and now after driving a rx7 my standards for speed and handling have upped. But i mainly curious how a 4.0sohc would do with a turbo and e85 fuel..

I wouldn't try to make power with this engine. Everything turbo will have to be custom and after all the money and time spent on it you won't be making much power. If you have a money tree then by all means start with a new block, balanced crank, forged pistons, blah blah.
Mess with the FD for power. I miss mine.

i have also seen some cool builds with this kit non on here but on rps and i thing ranger station. also for my info what sucks so bad about this engine there are skylines, 300zx ,silvias, supras and many more all makeing HUGE numbers with V6 . i know this is a very diffrent engine but what isnt up too par that those have? Something seems off when there running twin turbos or big single turbos. on even I4 engiens.

The "skyline" you refer to has an I6, silvias have I4's and supras have I6s. So your 75% wrong.
I'm making "HUGE" (to quote you) numbers on an I4, just depends how you do it, and if you want it to be reliable.
I've said it before, the output of an engine is determined by 2 things:
1) How well the engine is built.
2) How much fuel you can delivery to the engine.

I agree, also all those imports have a stronger bottom end, unfortunately ford is in the habit of skimping on the cost of parts and thus skimping on the quality. And another thing is all those import companies have literally over 20 years of experience with high reving racing engines, that they convert the research into production vehicles.
Another thing is that the way the engines are built, the internals of the 4.0 are built more for a towing style application and the import engines are built more for a high reving speed application. vast difference on internals.
IMO it would cost way to much money in engine modifications and suspension modification to build a ranger that can run decently and consistently on an autoX track.

Brian O'Connor: So, Dunn, looks like we're gonna be partners, bro. Could you tell me right quick what would be a better motor for my Skyline, a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24?
Agent Dunn: Um...
[clears throat]
Agent Dunn: 24?
Brian O'Connor: I didn't know pizza places made motors.
