Oil lines for turbo (4.0 sohc)
I've been putting off my turbo project for way to long. My wastegate comes in tomorrow and i've decided i'm going to go head first into this project. I just wanted to know where would be best to run my oil lines from and to. turbo is located remotely right after the last CAT.

Sweet! Turbo on a 4 SOHC.
|
Never really looked at the SOHC in detail but isn't there a oil galley plug along the side you could pick up from?
All the engines I deal with have oil headers so they get it from there. |
On my Cavalier I teed off from the the oil pressure sending unit. Worked well.

Bad idea, you've lost most of the heat after the catalyst. Use the heat to drive spool. |

ceramic coat all the way up to the cat. not only will you make the cat work better but it will keep the heat where you need it (which is spooling the turbo) it will help cant tell you how much but it should help.

Rear mount turbos work just fine. If so STS would not be in business.

wow. i saw this was on the top of the 4.0 tech and got really excited.. project got on hold when my exgf broke my heart this past summer so finally got back into it last week (im kidding.. i was extremely busy from school and stuff). everything is just ready to bolt on. intercooler brackets got all made last week and just waiting for a few couplers coming in this week. just need to find time between work and life.. Also found out i wasn't gonna be keeping my daily driver today so im kinda need to finish the project before winter break ends.. ahhhh. and yes before anyone says it, i know its a terrible idea to turbo a dd

you had the blow off valve in the right spot thats for sure. I hope you go at this again. I like the snorkle for the turbo, and want to see a video too.
