It’s different than I thought it would be…coming from a motorcycle, the GT500 and the beetle means I’m used to that instant hit of power…the ranger doesn’t have that super rush…It’s smoother/quicker/holds a gear longer ….but it doesn't feel like it's trying to kill me.

As for gains...I'm not expecting a whole bunch, 40-50 rwhp would be on the nice side. The increase in mid range torque is what I was really after

Plus I'm still tweaking it at this point. So we shall see what comes of it.

Update on the cost
previously it was roughly about $2450 CDN
the kit was $1700 shipped
Ebay eaton M-90 $400 shipped
$200 duty for both...thank you Canada Customs
Autometer boost gauge and pillar mount $100
Misc odds and ends $50

Since the install I've added
Ultra gauge $100 (shipped to Canada)
new plugs $40
New fan belt $50
Taylor wires $60 (shipped to Canada)
45 dg elbow 3.5 -3.0 reducer from the TB out...didn't like the multiple hose clamp method I ended up with $30

So the new running total is roughly $2700 CDN and I still have to buy a tuner and a tune..
Final total will be coming in at close to $3500

The truck/install is still not complete but it's getting closer....the issues popping up are making me contemplate the 2011 Ram 1500 4x4 quad cab's that are being offered new for 25-30k CDN.

So the snout bearings lasted a week before they started to sound like a bag o marbles...ordered a rebuild kit from rollingperformance.com last week and it showed up today.
Ordered a 2.8 pulley from pulleyboys. as well ...

Awesome customer service from from both of these shops.

That stinks.

Will that pulley give you any advantages?

priority list dictates the Shelby sits tight for awhile...Need to finish up the truck first, then the beetle and so it goes

Updated photos...truck is now running pretty well at 6psi with new bearings in the snout and a 2.8 pulley. I still have a couple of small details to finish up when I get the time

2.8 pulley

AFE dry intake

Ultra gauge and Autometer boost/vacuum

At idle with the AFE
took a quick driving vid...for an auto 4x4 with 265/75's it goes ok. Oddly enough it seems to pull hard around the 120km/h mark.

headed uphill

Sounds great! just enough blower whine. not a bad 0-60 for a slow truck if I do say so myself. keep up the good work!

have you had any tuning done or is this just bolt on and go right now?

No Tune as of yet...it's going to get a dyno tune at some point. I talked to Henson performance about tuning via mail order and I think I'll get better results going to the local dyno guys...which was my original plan....

I figured it to be about 6.5-7 seconds...either way it was quick enough for a cop to stop by and ask why I was in such a hurry leaving the light....

He's from Canada...so the white outer ring is km/h.

I'm guessing the reason it looked like that on the video, was is that you were looking at the 60 km/h mark instead of his target of 60 mph (inner red ring).
