Boss's new KR

Got the boss finally out of his dodge, he finally had enough after his 6th front end. I had the owner and the salesman of the dealership here bring it to his office Wednesday for him to test drive and he was sold on it after that.

2011 F350 King Ranch 6.7L

The only thing I don't like on the 2011 is the badges on the front fenders. I like the previous ones. Other then that the truck is gorgeous.

I don't mind the front end... it's the box sides on the dually trucks that are hideous!

Well it has the painted grille which is about 10x better than the chrome one. But it would look way better without the snow shovel on the bumper, I hate those. I mean I get it, it does help fuel economy, but...

I haven't driven a new one yet, but they don't have to feel 'quick'. First off you're driving a big heavy truck, and the engine needs a lot of miles to break in. But how it pulls with a buttload of weight behind it is what important, and from the people I've talked to who are hauling big trailers behind them it is awesome.

Feels slow?? Its a F350 if you want fast go buy a mustang....As for the torque, it can hold speed better going up a few hills pulling the 29ft enclosed, then his '06 cummins which had exhaust and tuner. Im sorry, but we use our trucks for towing and to getting to work everyday.

Yeah it feels slow. I've driven a 7.3 250 with a mild chip and it was a million times faster, same for a 6.0 dually with only a mild chip and stock exhaust.

I agree. I drove an '11 FX4 and I wouldn't describe it as slow at all. It had more ***** than my bosses 05 King Ranch 6.0 thats chipped.

Love the drivetrain on the new 2011's, but the looks could use some work. But who knows, maybe it will grow on me.

Awesome trucks for sure, drove a couple already and they feel geat. Already a lot of them around here, most already beat up that are used for farming. Still can't get over the hideous grille, dually fenders and those mammoth door badges. A bit too bold for me.

LOL @ at the feels slower than a chipped 7.3 comment, I should remember that one . . .

Ya that 7.3 comment is a good one, what does it put out stock like 250hp lol.

My boss was crying just about cause the first day in the field it was raining and his truck was getting all dirty and I got mud on the interior lol.

Yeah about that, not fast (stock), but they're in their territory when it comes to hauling heavy or reliability.

Hah, my boss just got an 11' F150. On the third day it was already stuck, had a mudflap ripped off and part of the top plastic cover on the tailgate broken/knocked off. New trucks on the farm are bad luck I tell ya . . .
