F-250 High Boy

I thought you guys might appreciate this truck.
It's a '77 F-250 High Boy. It has the 460, 4x4. I think he said it was 4.10 gears (might be wrong). The thing is in incredible shape for being a midwest truck. Sitting on 40x16.5 tires on 17" rims. It's HUGE... and he was daily driving it for a month or two before he bought his Magnum, 5 mpg.. was costing him $30 a day to drive to and from work, lol. The front and rear bumper are solid steel.. I'd say 3/8" to 1/2" thick.. they are beefy to say the least. So far I think all he did was give it a little bit of a tune up and a new power steering line. 4x4 is a little difficult to engage, but it works. Nice project truck. The spare tire goes under a panel on the passenger side of the bed.. but I think he is going to weld in a tool box in there because a spare 40" tire will not fit in there. Also, something I found interesting, the gas tank is located in the cab, right behind the driver's seat. Also, has a power window on the passenger side, so you don't have to lean all the way across to open and close it. And manual locking hubs, and dual exhaust.

Enjoy :)

I'd be daily driving one of those with a 4-spd had I found a nice one instead of my Superduty lol. Nothing beats the older trucks for durability or "badassery" factor.

Nice truck.

Someone did a lot of work to the truck before this guy got it.

and in cad tanks were the norm until I think 78 or 79

Yea guys, it's definitely sweeter in person... you roll around in it and it's like... "oh yea", haha. Sounds great.. smooth ride.. a little play in the steering, but it's old.. what do you expect? Not a bad start for a bad *** project truck I think? I think he picked it up for $3k, considering what's already been done to it, and the shape the body is in... I'd say he got a great deal. I think we looked at it closer and it's a 4 barrel carb, which I think is after market, this thing will get up and go.. haha... 460 woo!
