My 1994 F-150
My F-150 since 1997. Did have a 4in suspention lift and 33s when I got it. I tow alot with it so I went back to stock added overload springs and 4.10s went down to 31s. By 2001 it rusted out I put on Ford bedsides, cab corners, and front fenders, both gas tanks, sandblasted the frame, added a Cervini 4 inch hood, and it hasnt been in salt since and is garaged all the time now. It has 127,000 on it and doesnt burn any oil yet, when it does it will be stroked for a little more torque.

Thanks is a 351. With the gears itll hang with my dads v10 to almost 80 empty drag race, and will beat his mileage by 1 usually. We travel to Deere shows some and tow similar weight. Thats his Super Duty behind my truck.

Some of the lack performance of the body style is the way Ford geared most of them 3.55 was all the gear you could get. With the 302 and no real gears overdrive was almost useless in extended cabs. Chevy was running mostly 3.73 back then and they had a little advanage esp after they finally figured out what multiport fuel injection was.

I dont think mine is as hard on gas loaded as the Ranger is. I went to Iowa once and brought back a 66 Mustang and 2 Jd lawn and gardens tractors. Got 14.1 and a 14.2 going out emtoy car trailer and got a 13.1 and a 12.5 coming back. I was really happy with that esp the 13.1 out of Iowa across ILL and Indiana. Cruise set at 68, Air on.
