I'm not sure. I thought about buying a cheap set (which I have seen some on craigslist for like $70) and checking but to see if I can but I haven't yet. Might just be easier and cheaper to buy a set on ebay.

I know. The black makes it stand out more then it did before. Guess I will order one.

bigandrw modded his headlights so yes, you can do it. It looks good. I'd get it sprayed DSG though once you have money.

So uh....did you use masking tape? And if so, did the Plasti-Dip peel off when you peeled off the tape???

Yes I did and yes it did a little bit.

I sprayed it on and didn't peel the tape off right away so when I went back out to take it off it started to peel off. If you peel it off right after you spray the plasti dip it won't peel off. I did that with the bumpers and everything was fine.

So peel it off right after you spray the the plasti dip.

Did you just spray one heavy coat with the tape? That's what I did for the hood on my truck... probably the amount for like 6 coats but all in one and then peeled the tape off.

LOL.... I asked the question after I sprayed and peeled the tape back from the area below. lol. Live and learn. Love this stuff being able to be totally temporary!

I should have done that. lol. Didn't see any real mention of it in any of the threads. Then again, my brain should have been working while I was shooting. I blame the microbrews I was consuming at the time. haha!

If it happens again just spray the tape lines again and it should come right off and not peel away the paint. I had to do that the first round and it was fine.

I am thinking about painting around the fenders like the two tones have. It would be a royal pain in the butt to tape all four fenders but I may do it, to look like this.

I think it would look good. Taping that off will definitely be a pain

Yeah, I have been thinking about doing it since I painted the rockers but the thought of taping all that off keeps pushing me away from it. lol

if you like it and really want the flares done too, I would just go ahead and get line x. have them do the labor and it will look sweet.

Nah, I don't feel like dropping that kind of cash, especially if I sell it.

The only way you should paint those fender arches is if you add flares IMO. I don't think you'd ever get it to look right without them. At least with the plasti dip you could undo it though.

I agree with Ryan... wouldn't hurt to just try one side first and see how it looks though! Get some fine line tape and it won't be too bad to do.
