Built a new light bar to get rid of the crappy ones I had.. Results came out nice!! Needs painting tomorrow and lights adjusted.

Next mod or re-mod lol. I had a deal I couldn't pass up and glad I didn't. I had developed a slight shudder coming out of overdrive a few months back so I switched from my custom tuned XCAL2 back to stock for about two months which cured the shudder. But I had the dreaded drive by wire throttle lag. I too had this on the custom tune but not quite as bad. So I put my tuner up for sale for $200 with no luck. I then retried the tune and I didn't have the shudder.

Then a guy asked me about the tuner. Said he had bought a Superchips 1714 tuner a while back for his 02 ranger only to find out it doesn't work on 02s, only 04 trucks. He offered me that plus 150 cash. I was really wanting a pistol and that would help PLUS I'd still have a tuner to adjust for lag and bigger tires. So I went through with the deal. Glad I did.m I received his tuner before I would ship mine out, tried it out and was amazed at the smoothness of the canned tune. It eliminated, I mean eliminated throttle lag, the way it should have came factory! Also the truck just shifted smoother and passes better and everything. It's not as peppy as my 87 performance custom tune, but I also have a 93 octane tune for that. So now I have three tunes vs two and am very pleased. I know some would not have traded an xcal2, but I'm glad I did

 

Ordered my birthday present from the wife today! She bought me the Double Din I had been wanting. Clarion CX501 with Bluetooth, aux in, USB IPod connectivity. Its no touch screen but this does everything they will do minus DVDs. Plus for 179.99 plus free install kit and free wiring kit you can't beat it. Super stoked about it.

Also put in a Metra Axxess steering wheel control interface so the steering wheel buttons would work again, works flawlessly. The bluetooth is awesome. Reconnects automatically everytime i get back in truck. Built in microphone so no need to install a seperate one. Bluetooths my audio perfect, ipod control on HU is awesome. Perfect head unit for price. Looks oem too!

$80 CL steal! Low profile toolbox. Sold a .410 shotgun i didnt like and bought this. New support shocks on order, taking lock out tomorrow for rekeying. Will shine up like new on a warm day. She will look good as new when i get done with her.
