I've read real good things about the 6.2l gasser, from people hauling/towing campers and stuff. Probably with better fuel economy than the 6.4 too.
I love diesels but they have a lot more complicated systems, more expensive to fix. The emissions stuff is a PITA, and new diesels are really sensitive to bad fuel. It diesnt help that we have crappy diesel in the us either.
The taxes in diesel, price of the new emissions equipment, cost of maintenance etc are all leading to the death of diesel in the US, at least in lighter vehicles. This is why we are seeing crap like 'eco-boost' instead of the small diesels that so much of us love.

But I still think you should keep at the 6.4 with your current plan.
I'm just bitter that we can't get more diesels. lol. Tax and emissions really kills most of the incentives.

I talked to BulletProof diesel and the cooler is still a month out at least. He didnt give me a price yet but he is installing it on his truck next week and wants to test it for 3-4 weeks before he will sell it.

He didnt seem to think my temps were really that bad, he said its definitely warmer than normal but nothing damaging.

You forget the detail on the 1.5 60 foot! That's bloody quick for such a big truck.

A 1.5 second 60' is great! Mine was slower, but not by much. I really wish I could find my old slips from last summer.

My Spartan tuner which is a Dashdaq quit working, I sent it in last night, hopefully that lets me change tunes again. I mentioned a few posts back that it had quit. Drew Technologies finally called and gave me the RMA information to get it repaired.

Still up in the air about the EOTs. Id like to replace the radiator but work is swamped.

Anyone have a recommendation for what tire to run? I want an AT but there isnt much choice for 20s.

those are some nice tires!

i decided i am trading this truck in or selling it out right. So I am on the hunt for a F150 or F250 gasser. I am done with diesels for now. I just cant win with this one.

The heater doesnt work on it either. The whole coolant system is just jacked up on this thing. I believe the heater core is bad, just like the oil cooler was plugged it is too. So it needs a new radiator, oil cooler, and heater core. Who knows what else. I am just going to cut my losses and move on.

I am going to try and get to the dealer in the next week and see if they can run some numbers on a brand new f150. Then I know its a good truck, no issues and 100% under warranty. I just want a DD that works. I dont know if they are doing 0% financing right now but I will probably wait until they do.

I was just at the dealer with a friend pricing out trucks, he paid 34k for a decently loaded 2010 F150 XLT. Sticker was about 41k if I remember correctly. The only problem he ran into he tows alot and they only had one with the 3.73 gears most of them around here come with the 3.55, but even with those it still tows better than my 2005. Our dealership here let him tow his trailer with both before buying.
