Zabeard F150 Traction Bars!

1 Attachment(s)
After months of waiting on Ballistic Fab parts, Zach finally received the much anticipated items and sent me the traction bars that he fabricated for my truck.
I installed them today and so far it is a night and day difference. My F150 is running 3" rear blocks, 35" tires on 4.56 gears and a Detroit locker. I get a lot of axle/spring wrap as you can imagine. Even when I roll to a stop, the springs rock back and forth. After installing the traction bars, the ride is a HUGE improvement. Not only is the truck WAY more solid on acceleration, but even when I come to a stop and accelerate through a turn with the locker. The Detroit causes the rear end to bind, and with the 3" rear blocks the rear end developed a tendency to walk around on me. So far it has been rock solid with the traction bars. I took a (crappy) phone picture after installing them this afternoon.

Looks awesome man. Might have to fabricate myself some now. It looks like the bars bolt into a bracket which bolts under the axle using the existing U-bolts?

Is the 3in rear block stock?

That's what I thought.

Yes. It seemed like the best way to go. There isn't a lot of room to weld on the axle tube and I didn't want to worry about bending the tube from the heat.

Yep. That is a ready lift 3" block to enhance the stance with the leveling kit and a load in the bed.
