heh, that'd be nice if I had a mounting and balancing machine in my garage.

The only place around here that would even touch the Mickey Thompsons doesn't have an opening until Monday. And they want to charge me 32 bucks a tire. bastards.

I'm going to call a couple more places tomorrow.

Midas, Sears, BJ's, Walmart...all said No.

Very nice man, you can mount them yourself probably and just get them mounted. The sidewalls are plyable enough.

Yeah, just push the tire onto the rim with one of those little plastic bike tire things and use an air compressor to start the bead. You'll just have to take them to get them balanced.

Yea thats who is charging me the 32 bucks. The local tire shop. I'm gonna call around to other places more further away for better prices.

All the chains won't touch the MT's cause they say they have older machines and are afraid of scratching "high end" rims.

I have like zero experience with mounting...wouldn't know where to start. At this point I'm gonna get it done for me. Perhaps in the future I'll learn how.

Wow NTB is mounting tires on my brand new 18" chrome cobras tomorrow and they said it wouldnt be a problem, i dunno why they would have a problem working with a M/T brand rim.

Same here, no one would touch it because it is "out of the norm" for them.

I went to a buch of places and they all wouldn't do it.

That is very nice of them to say they didn't want to scratch your rims...most places just take your money.

What about people wiht 22's and up??? That must suck for them!!!

Here's my headlight mod

https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=22158

The corners, I painted pretty much the same way, but to take them apart I used a pot of boiling water and submerged the corners with a hotdog tong until the glue was hot enough to pull apart. Wasn't that hard

I suppose I could look at it that way...better they said no than scratch up the rims
