the bad land bumper is a one off that the owner had to beg the builder to do, they never produced them for rangers

I didn't exactly want a pre-runner type bumper but after realizing how much a full on front winching bumper weighs I settled for it. The 2" recessed receiver is strong and it comes in handy when I'm getting winched out or towed out. It's tested and proven strength. After bashing through snowbanks this past weekend I have 100% confidence in this bumper. Fully welded to the frame it's tougher than nails.

Mine's prerunner-ish, plenty strong & lightweight to boot

Holds up well when winching, several weeks ago, I winched 5 vehicles up a snowy rocky hill & one of 'em was a tank........an '87 Suburban that outweighed my truck by a longshot. (by the way, my truck made it up the hill without any winch help)

I hear that :) My Bronco II has the spare mounted inside the vehicle and it is only a donut :( I need some sort of mount like this one, but it will require a new bumper as well, ugh.

I can't quote a price until Mike finishes it and sees what is involved in adapting it to our Rangers. As soon as he shoots me a finished price, I'll post it here! Hang in there - should only take a few more weeks!

I guess he finally got enough emails about mine to make his jeep bumpers fit rangers himself.

That company makes a well built bumper and I bet he will do a good job.

Actually, Camo, this is how I found him - through your picture and the posts here. He wasn't sure if it was you or not but he wants to go forward with this! Thanks for getting the ball rolling...

Icon6 On Order!

All the final measurements have been checked and verified - I ordered it on Friday. Unfortunately, Mike told me he couldn't start it for around 3 weeks... he is swamped with Jeep orders right now. I'll update when I have a better handle on when it will arrive.

Please do!

I was thinking about the whole adapting a Jeep bumper to a Ranger, considering the body lines are fairly similar.

I'm also thinking about seeing what a local welder will price me at.

And that swing away tire carrier on that Tacoma is EXACTLY what I want to do to my truck. I think it looks super rad!

Just a thought...
Once you finish it trace it with a thin Sharpie, remove any pencil marks with a eraser and make a 100 copies of it. That way if you screw up no biggie, you have a template and a fresh new sheet to work on. Just a little FYI, that is what l do anytime l build something for someone.
