start out with an underdrive pulley, and get an efan.. that's under $300 right there; with a decently noticable difference in power

You can get a Jet Mass Air sensor for a little under $300. It should give your truck an extra 10-15 horsepower. Also, get a KN filter for a little over $40. Or a performance chip for around $237.

Here, I'll even give you a few links to buy those products:
Sensor: http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...A1951A0A0.aspx
Filter: http://www.autoanything.com/air-filt...A2090A0A0.aspx
Module: http://www.autoanything.com/performa...A1777A0A0.aspx

(Note: Those are for the 2003 Ranger only. If you have a different year model, you will have to change the year on those sites.)

^yes and no, there are better ways to spend your money and gain more power, the sensor im not too familiar with but as far as i know they arnt worth it unless you have big power, a ranger just doesnt have that kind of power, there are free mods you can do to the maf that will help out, the k&n, sure, but a regular paper filter isnt to far behing performance wise, go with a MAC intake, seem to be a cheap intake that helps somewhat, jet chip, dont waste your money, save up alittle more and get the bama tuner...........best of luck

I'm not trying to be a jerk...especially to a fellow Canadian (unless you're in Vancouver, WA). But Vic dude...most of your threads have been repetitive about the same damn thing. Increasing powar to your 3.0, and you never follow up with everyone's responses.

Don't waste your money on performance mods!!! The only way to get a substantial increase in power is going to forced induction, PERIOD!!!!

AAHHHHHHH Bob Ayers is here

DO NOT GET A JET MAF or ANY other aftermarket MAF for a ranger, not only do they NOT make power, but they DONT work reliably and safely.

A tuner will be your best bang for the buck, but if 2-300 is really your limit, take a look at our Power Pack 2 combo, with a pulley, belt, and efan.
