From what I understand the Jeep coils have a much softer spring rate than the Ranger coils and compress about 2 inches lower from being softer.

For example I am going to use 4.5" Lift Jeep TJ Coils (same as XJ ones) to lift front end of my '97 Ranger about 2"-2.5". In a few weeks I am going to try this and see what happens...

hell yeah. let me know how that goes. Are you going to just put those coils in the stock ranger suspension? Let me know how that goes because I'd like to get a bit of a softer ride out of the front.

well I really want to see how this all comes out. I mean 2" and 3" lift coils for jeeps are $100 LOL. So I'd love to get a set of those.

no one? damn it. I'd like to see how it goes before I buy some but I might just end up doing it myself.

Couldn't get to it last weekend as I'm having issues with my 2WD Ranger (see Auto Shift Kit Aftermath thread...) So it will happen...

ah ok, well when you get to it post it up because I want to do this but I don't want to buy the coils first. I just don't want to deal with all the shipping back and forth.
